Using a USB connection

Firstly, exit any open software applications on your PC. Afterward, save this file by selecting the Download Only button. Than, Click the downloaded file twice. Installation instructions

The HP Print and Scan Doctor does not require installation.

To use the HP Print and Scan Doctor, simply download the file and run it.

Click the Download button and save the file to your computer. Than, navigate to the location where you saved the file on your computer and double-click the HPPSdr.exe filename to open and run the tool. Than, Follow the on-screen instructions to use the HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Note: The first time you run the HPPSdr.exe file it will place a shortcut to the HP Print and Scan Doctor on your desktop. This convenient shortcut can be used for easy access to the HP Print and Scan Doctor for troubleshooting and problem solving help you may need in the future.

HP LaserJet 1018 Specifications

One of the LaserJet 1018’s key competitors is Lexmark’s E120n and the ‘n’ in that model names stands for network. The Lexmark machine has an Ethernet port as standard, while its HP rival doesn’t and has no option for one, either.

Text print quality is very good, with sharp, well-defined characters producing high-contrast pages for general office correspondence. When you print business graphics, though, with greyscale tints behind text, the results aren’t as clear

Print quality is generally good, but grayscales are not as good as E120. But running costs are noticeably lower, which is something most buyers will value.

On the other hand, the 1018 handles thin lines better than many printers.

Overall, the 1018 scored about the same as the Samsung ML-2010 for quality, and both were a little better than the Lexmark E120n.
