Printer Driver Archive. Quick and Easy Installation. Also Free.

HP company has terminated Windows 10 support for the HP LaserJet 1160 printer. However, there are still people who use this printer on their Windows 10 computer. We did a short research in order not to reject requests on this subject. We got some results. I regret to say that there is no Windows 10 driver support on any of Hewlett Packard’s original sites. We could not find an explanation or advice regarding installation. But we found some drivers and installation instructions on unofficial sites. We wanted to share the safest one with you. I hope you solve your problem. Also, if you provide a solution, that is, if you can introduce your HP LaserJet 1160 printer to your computer with Windows 10 operating system, please share it with us.

HP LaserJet 1160 Driver Setup Steps

Let’s get into the installation together. First, let’s right-click on the my computer icon on the desktop and click the properties tab. Let’s make sure whether your operating system is 64bit or 32bit in the system type section in the menu that opens.

Download the driver suitable for your operating system from the links above to your computer. However, I would like to remind you that we never share links other than HP’s original site. But this time the situation is different because HP has ended driver support. We had to find alternative ways to help you.

Then extract the file you downloaded from the archive. Then go to the Printers & Scanners section. Then click on the new printer or scanner tab.

Then select “The printer that I want isn’t listed” from the menu that opens. Then, let’s check “Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings” at the bottom of the menu that opens and click Next. Then select USB001 (Local Port) in the menu that opens. It will probably be at the bottom.

The system will then ask you for the driver’s location. At the top of the page, show the path to the file you extracted from the archive on your computer. Do this with the Have Disk option. Among the files you extracted from the archive, select the path to the “prnhp001.inf” file for 64 bit. Then select open and select “Hp Laserjet 1160″ from the menu that opens and click next. You do not need to change the printer name. When the printer is added, it will ask if you want to share. Let’s say no to this and choose the future. And congratulations, let’s finish the installation with the finish option.
